All-wheel drive in Texas
Most DFW drivers do fine with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive adds traction in wet weather and the occasional ice day, at some cost in price and fuel economy. It's a preference question, not a requirement, and I won't pretend otherwise to move you up a trim.
Bring the car seats
If you have young kids, bring the seats and the stroller to the test drive. Spec sheets don't tell you whether your specific car seat fits behind your driving position, and it's a five-minute check that prevents a real regret.
